- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup hot honey (or regular honey mixed with a pinch of red pepper flakes)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the hot honey, minced garlic, olive oil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour half of the hot honey mixture over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Drizzle the remaining hot honey mixture over the feta cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the hot honey mixture for 1-2 hours before baking.
- Substitute the feta cheese with goat cheese for a different taste profile.
