- 2 pounds bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Place the marinated chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Brush half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken thighs.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
- After 35 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush the remaining barbecue sauce on top.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the skin is crispy.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
