  • 2 pounds bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a marinade.
  3. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  4. Place the marinated chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  5. Brush half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken thighs.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
  7. After 35 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush the remaining barbecue sauce on top.
  8. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the skin is crispy.
  9. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
