Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approximately 46 lemons)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cups chilled water
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced (for decoration)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for decoration)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing a brown sugar syrup. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water with the brown sugar. Heat the mixture over medium flame, stirring occasionally until the sugar has fully dissolved. Once dissolved, remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.
  2. In a large pitcher, mix the freshly squeezed lemon juice with the remaining 3 cups of chilled water. Gradually incorporate the cooled brown sugar syrup into the lemon-water mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  3. Sample the lemonade and modify the sweetness to your liking by adding extra water or more syrup if needed.
  4. Pour the refreshing lemonade over ice-filled glasses. Top each glass with a slice of lemon and, if desired, a few fresh mint leaves for an aromatic touch.

Notes
