Description

Cajun Corn Delight is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish featuring sweet corn seasoned with Cajun spices, perfect as a side or a light meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen corn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted and bubbly.
  2. Add the frozen corn kernels to the skillet and stir to coat them in the oil and butter mixture.
  3. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over the corn. Stir well to combine.
  4. Cook the corn for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is heated through and slightly caramelized.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or diced jalapeños.
  • You can substitute fresh corn on the cob (about 4 ears) for frozen corn; just cut the kernels off the cob and cook for a shorter time until tender.
