- 2 cups frozen hash browns, thawed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced cooked ham (or cooked bacon)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, half of the cheddar cheese, and the diced ham (or bacon). Mix well and spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the hash brown mixture in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. If desired, garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the egg mixture.
- You can also substitute the ham or bacon with cooked sausage or vegetables for a vegetarian option.
