Description

Delicious Chicken Parmesan Meatballs baked to perfection and topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Remove the meatballs from the oven and pour the marinara sauce over them. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
  • Substitute ground turkey for ground chicken for a leaner option, or use a mix of ground meats for added flavor.
