- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, honey, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with your favorite sides.

- For a smoky flavor, add 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika to the marinade.
