A delicious and easy-to-make Cinnamon Roll Coffee Cake that combines the flavors of cinnamon rolls and coffee cake in one irresistible dessert.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the cinnamon swirl:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Mix well.
- Add the softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter for the cinnamon swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter, then top with the remaining batter.
- Using a knife or a skewer, gently swirl the batter to create a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
- Once the cake is done, allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before drizzling the glaze over the top.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding chopped nuts or raisins to the cinnamon swirl mixture.
- You can also substitute almond extract for vanilla in the glaze for a different twist.
