Description
Crack Burgers are delicious and easy-to-make burgers that combine ground beef with ranch seasoning and onion soup mix, topped with melted cheddar cheese and crispy bacon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 8 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ranch seasoning mix, and onion soup mix. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Form the mixture into 8 equal patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup to create a sauce.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading the sauce on the bottom bun, adding the patty with melted cheese, and topping with crumbled bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Place the top bun on and serve.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture or top with spicy pickles.
- Swap out the cheddar cheese for pepper jack or blue cheese for a different flavor profile.
