A healthier version of the classic fish and chips, made crispy in an air fryer for a guilt-free delight.

- 2 large potatoes, cut into fries
- 1 lb white fish fillets (such as cod or haddock)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Soak the cut potatoes in water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each fish fillet in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the fries in a single layer.
- Cook the fries for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- After the fries are done, place the fish fillets in the air fryer and cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can double coat the fish fillets.
- Feel free to add your favorite seasonings to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Serve with a side of tartar sauce or malt vinegar for an authentic touch.
