Description
Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are delicious, bite-sized pieces of salmon coated in a crunchy panko breadcrumb crust, served with a spicy bang bang sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs.
- Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- Dip each salmon piece first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.
- In a large skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully add the salmon bites in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to create the bang bang sauce.
- Serve the crispy salmon bites hot with the bang bang sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For extra crunch, try adding some grated Parmesan cheese to the panko breadcrumbs.
- If you prefer a healthier option, bake the salmon bites at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
