Description

A traditional Full English Breakfast featuring a hearty combination of sausage, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, baked beans, and toast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces breakfast sausage links
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 medium tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup baked beans (canned)
  • 4 slices of black pudding (optional)
  • 4 slices of whole grain toast
  • Butter for spreading
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage links until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.
  2. In the same skillet, add the bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. Crack the eggs into the skillet and fry to your desired doneness, about 3-4 minutes for sunny-side up. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. While the eggs are cooking, place the halved tomatoes cut-side down in the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes until softened.
  5. Heat the baked beans in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, about 5 minutes.
  6. If using black pudding, add the slices to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  7. Toast the whole grain bread and spread with butter.
  8. To serve, arrange the sausage, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, baked beans, black pudding (if using), and toast on each plate. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute the sausage and bacon with plant-based alternatives and skip the black pudding.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
