  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Start by patting the flank steak dry with paper towels. This helps to achieve a nice sear.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Rub this spice mixture evenly over both sides of the steak.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 2 tablespoons of the butter.
  4. When the butter is melted and bubbling, carefully place the steak in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the steak as it finishes cooking.
