Description

A flavorful recipe for Garlic Butter Brazilian Steak that combines tender flank steak with a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds flank steak
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Start by seasoning the flank steak with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika on both sides. Let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. In a large skillet or grill pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Once the butter is melted and bubbling, add the seasoned flank steak to the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.
  4. While the steak is cooking, in a small saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned.
  5. Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
  6. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. Drizzle the garlic butter over the sliced steak and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  7. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the steak in a mixture of olive oil, lime juice, and your favorite herbs for 1-2 hours before cooking.
  • Try using different cuts of beef, such as sirloin or ribeye, for a variation in flavor and texture.
