Description
Grilled Honey BBQ Bacon Chicken Kabobs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines tender chicken, crispy bacon, and a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 slices of bacon, cut into thirds
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- In a large bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Once marinated, thread the chicken cubes onto the skewers, alternating with pieces of bacon.
- Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Brush with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add some diced jalapeños to the skewers before grilling.
- To make this dish even more colorful, include bell peppers and onions between the chicken and bacon on the skewers.
