Description
Grilled Thai Chicken Skewers are a flavorful and easy-to-make dish that combines tender chicken thighs marinated in a savory sauce, perfect for grilling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can include vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or zucchini on the skewers alongside the chicken.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, marinate the chicken with additional red pepper flakes or serve with a spicy dipping sauce.
