- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup crushed tortilla chips (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, diced jalapeños, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the crushed tortilla chips evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add more jalapeños or include some chopped serrano peppers.
- You can substitute the chicken with cooked ground turkey or beef for a different flavor profile.
