Description
A refreshing mango iced tea recipe perfect for summer sips.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups water
- 4 tea bags (black or green tea)
- 1 cup fresh mango, diced
- 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
- In a blender, combine the diced mango and sugar. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse the blender a few times instead of blending completely.
- In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea, mango puree, and fresh lime juice. Stir well to mix all the ingredients together.
- Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the mango iced tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, reduce the sugar or use a sugar substitute.
- You can also add sparkling water for a fizzy twist.
- For a tropical flair, try adding a splash of coconut water or using pineapple instead of mango.
