Description

A refreshing mango iced tea recipe perfect for summer sips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 tea bags (black or green tea)
  • 1 cup fresh mango, diced
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  2. In a blender, combine the diced mango and sugar. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse the blender a few times instead of blending completely.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea, mango puree, and fresh lime juice. Stir well to mix all the ingredients together.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill.
  5. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the mango iced tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, reduce the sugar or use a sugar substitute.
  • You can also add sparkling water for a fizzy twist.
  • For a tropical flair, try adding a splash of coconut water or using pineapple instead of mango.
