Description

Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles is a quick and delicious dinner option that combines savory ground beef with egg noodles and fresh vegetables, all tossed in a flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3 minutes until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  5. Mix in the sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce (if using), ground ginger, and black pepper. Pour this sauce over the beef and vegetable mixture.
  7. Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
  • Substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
