Description

Oreo Truffles are a delicious no-bake treat made with crushed Oreo cookies, cream cheese, and chocolate. They are easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 package (15.25 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional)
  • Sprinkles or crushed Oreos for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a resealable plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and mix until well combined and smooth. You can use a hand mixer or mix by hand with a spatula.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze the truffles for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
  5. While the truffles are chilling, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. If desired, stir in the vegetable oil for a smoother consistency.
  6. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, using a fork to coat it evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing the truffle back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. If desired, sprinkle crushed Oreos or sprinkles on top of the truffles before the chocolate sets.
  8. Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try using flavored cream cheese, such as chocolate or vanilla.
  • You can substitute white chocolate for semi-sweet chocolate for a sweeter taste and a different look.
