- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
- Place the seasoned chicken thighs in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush generously with barbecue sauce on both sides.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
