Description
Oven-Barbecue Chicken Thighs are irresistibly tender and tasty, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor).
- Place the marinated chicken thighs in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken thighs.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and brush the remaining barbecue sauce on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with apple cider vinegar for added tanginess if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the marinade.
- Try using different barbecue sauces to customize the flavor, such as honey mustard or spicy chipotle.
