Description

Delicious pan-seared salmon burgers served with a creamy garlic aioli, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves (for serving)
  • Tomato slices (for serving)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (for garlic aioli)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for garlic aioli)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (for garlic aioli)

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the salmon. Chop the salmon fillets into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the breadcrumbs, green onions, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for about 15 minutes to help them firm up.
  4. While the patties chill, prepare the garlic aioli. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes, if desired.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a salmon patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and a generous dollop of garlic aioli. Place the top half of the bun on and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha or hot sauce to the garlic aioli.
  • Substitute the salmon with canned salmon for a quicker option, just make sure to drain it well before mixing.
