Description
A refreshing tropical iced tea made with passion fruit juice and black tea, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups of water
- 4 bags of black tea
- 1 cup of passion fruit juice (fresh or bottled)
- 1/2 cup of sugar (or to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for decoration (optional)
- Slices of lemon for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and steep the black tea bags for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and mix in the sugar until dissolved.
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
- Incorporate the passion fruit juice and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to the refrigerator and chill for at least an hour.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices if desired.
Notes
- For an added tropical flair, consider mixing in a splash of coconut water before serving.
- You can also swap out sugar for honey or agave syrup for a different sweetness profile.
