Description

A refreshing tropical iced tea made with passion fruit juice and black tea, perfect for hot days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of water
  • 4 bags of black tea
  • 1 cup of passion fruit juice (fresh or bottled)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar (or to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for decoration (optional)
  • Slices of lemon for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and steep the black tea bags for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags and mix in the sugar until dissolved.
  4. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  5. Incorporate the passion fruit juice and stir well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the refrigerator and chill for at least an hour.
  7. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • For an added tropical flair, consider mixing in a splash of coconut water before serving.
  • You can also swap out sugar for honey or agave syrup for a different sweetness profile.
