Description

Savory Salmon Cakes are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that transforms your dinner with a delightful blend of flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14.75 ounces) salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, onion, bell pepper, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should have approximately 8 patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon patties to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary.
  4. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce to the mixture.
  • Substitute canned tuna for salmon if desired, or try adding fresh herbs like dill or parsley for extra flavor.
