- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, onion, bell pepper, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should have approximately 8 patties.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon patties to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce to the mixture.
- Substitute canned tuna for salmon if desired, or try adding fresh herbs like dill or parsley for extra flavor.
