A delicious twist on a classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring tender shredded brisket and a blend of cheeses.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- 2 ounces of cooked brisket, shredded
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 2 slices of pepper jack cheese
- 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread the butter evenly on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread the Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
- Layer the shredded brisket on top of the mustard, followed by the cheddar and pepper jack cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
- Carefully place the sandwich in the preheated skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the bread is golden brown.
- Flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes, pressing down slightly with a spatula, until the cheese is melted and the other side is golden brown.
- Remove from the skillet, let cool for a minute, then slice in half and serve.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding sautéed onions or jalapeños inside the sandwich.
- Try using different types of cheese, such as gouda or mozzarella, for a unique twist.
