Description
A refreshing and fizzy drink made with ripe raspberries and freshly squeezed lemon juice, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups ripe raspberries
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approximately 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups carbonated water
- Ice cubes
- Mint sprigs for decoration (optional)
- Lemon wedges for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by placing the raspberries in a mixing bowl and mashing them gently with a fork to release their juices.
- Transfer the mashed raspberries into a fine sieve set over another bowl, pressing down with the back of a spoon to extract the juice while leaving the seeds behind.
- In a separate pitcher, mix together the raspberry juice, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir the mixture thoroughly until the sugar is fully dissolved and the blend is smooth.
- Gradually pour in the carbonated water, stirring lightly to maintain the fizz.
- Prepare serving glasses by filling them with ice cubes, then pour the raspberry citrus fizz over the ice.
- For an elegant touch, add mint sprigs and lemon wedges to each glass before serving. Enjoy this refreshing drink right away!
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
- You can also experiment with different berries like strawberries or blueberries for a unique twist.
- For an adult version, consider adding a splash of your favorite spirit.
