A refreshing tropical iced green tea recipe that combines the flavors of pineapple, coconut, and lime for a perfect summer drink.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 green tea bags
- 1 cup fresh pineapple juice
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup (optional)
- Juice of 1 lime
- Fresh mint sprigs for decoration
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a medium pot.
- Once boiling, remove it from the heat and immerse the green tea bags, allowing them to steep for 4-6 minutes based on your preference for strength.
- After steeping, take out the tea bags and let the tea cool down completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the cooled green tea with the pineapple juice, coconut water, agave syrup (if desired), and lime juice, whisking until everything is well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a pitcher and place it in the refrigerator for about an hour to chill and enhance the flavors.
- When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tropical green tea over the ice.
- Finish off by garnishing each glass with a sprig of fresh mint.
Notes
- For a caffeine-free alternative, opt for herbal tea bags instead of green tea.
- Enhance the visual appeal and flavor by adding slices of seasonal fruits like oranges or strawberries to the pitcher.
