Description
Delicious turkey sliders topped with creamy avocado and spicy chipotle mayo, perfect for a quick meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 slider buns
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon chipotle sauce (or to taste)
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- Sliced tomatoes (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- While the patties are cooking, in a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and chipotle sauce to create the chipotle mayo. Adjust the spice level to your preference.
- Toast the slider buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the sliders by spreading a layer of chipotle mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Add a turkey patty, a slice of avocado, a handful of shredded lettuce, and sliced tomatoes if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in some chopped fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley into the turkey mixture before forming the patties.
- Substitute the ground turkey with ground chicken or lean beef for a different taste and texture.
