Description

Delicious turkey sliders topped with creamy avocado and spicy chipotle mayo, perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 slider buns
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chipotle sauce (or to taste)
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • Sliced tomatoes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. While the patties are cooking, in a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and chipotle sauce to create the chipotle mayo. Adjust the spice level to your preference.
  5. Toast the slider buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the sliders by spreading a layer of chipotle mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Add a turkey patty, a slice of avocado, a handful of shredded lettuce, and sliced tomatoes if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, mix in some chopped fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley into the turkey mixture before forming the patties.
  • Substitute the ground turkey with ground chicken or lean beef for a different taste and texture.
