Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prep Ingredients: Finely chop the onion, garlic, and your choice of fresh parsley or dill. Gather all ingredients next to a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix Burger Patties: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, crumbled feta cheese, parsley or dill, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, lemon juice, breadcrumbs or almond flour, and the egg. Mix gently to incorporate.
  3. Shape Patties: Form the mixture into uniform patties, about ¾ inch thick, ensuring even cooking.
  4. Cook Patties: Grill at medium-high for 6-7 minutes per side, or use a skillet for 5-6 minutes per side, or bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Serve: Transfer cooked burgers to a plate to rest. Serve with tzatziki sauce and fresh vegetables on whole grain or gluten-free buns.
