- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season it inside and out with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Carefully place the seasoned chicken into the crockpot. Add olive oil to the bottom if desired.
- Cover the crockpot and set it to low heat. Cook for about 6 hours without lifting the lid.
- Check the chicken’s internal temperature after 6 hours; it should be at least 165°F.
