Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook the chicken at 380°F for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, flip the chicken breasts over and brush half of the BBQ sauce on top. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Flip the chicken again, brush with the remaining BBQ sauce, and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
