Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup protein powder chocolate or vanilla
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips optional

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. If using, fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  7. Allow the brownie bites to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, cut into small squares or bites and enjoy!
