Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon chopped
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 12 slider buns
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese sliced
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup optional
  • Chopped chives for garnish optional

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet with the bacon grease and cook over medium heat, stirring gently until the eggs are just set. Remove from heat.
  4. Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish. Layer the cooked bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese on top of the buns. If desired, drizzle with maple syrup for added flavor.
  5. Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese. Brush the tops with melted butter for extra richness.
  6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped chives if desired, then slice and serve.
