Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add 1 diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent.
  2. Stir in 3 minced garlic cloves and continue sautéing for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in 6 cups of chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in 1 cup of heavy cream. Let it simmer gently.
  5. Stir in 3 cups of shredded cooked chicken and heat through for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle in the ranch seasoning mix and 1 teaspoon each of onion powder, garlic powder, dried thyme, paprika, and black pepper. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
