  • 2 medium Carrots Peel and slice into half-moons.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Use fresh minced garlic for authenticity.
  • 1 teaspoon Sweet Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth Homemade is best, but store-bought will do.
  • 2 cups Savoy Cabbage Chopped.
For Creaminess
  • 4 ounces Cheese Spread Cream cheese or sour cream can also be used.
For the Star Ingredient
  • 1 pound Pierogi Use potato and cheese-filled or your favorite fillings.
For the Fresh Touch
  • 1 bunch Fresh Dill Avoid dried dill.

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prep the ingredients by slicing kielbasa, peeling carrots, mincing garlic, and dicing onion.
  2. Brown the kielbasa in a large pot with oil for about 5 minutes, then set aside.
  3. Sauté the garlic, onion, and carrots for about 3 minutes until onion is translucent.
  4. Add paprika and cumin, toast for 30 seconds, then pour in the chicken broth.
  5. Reduce heat, add savoy cabbage, cover, and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the cheese spread until melted for a creamy texture.
  7. Add the pierogi to the pot and cook according to package instructions.
  8. Stir in the kielbasa and fresh dill, season with pepper, and serve hot.
