Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
In a large bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Lightly grease the waffle maker with cooking spray or oil.
Spoon about 1/2 cup of the hashbrown mixture into the center of the preheated waffle maker. Close the lid and cook for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Carefully remove the chaffle and repeat with the remaining mixture, greasing the waffle maker as needed.
