  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan optional, can substitute with Pecorino Romano

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, add ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion, minced garlic, and sliced pepperoni into the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until onions become translucent.
  4. Pour in pizza sauce and sprinkle Italian seasoning over the meat mixture. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Take your deep-dish pie crust and place it in a greased pan. Layer half of the meat mixture, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and repeat.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. Tent with foil if browning too quickly.
  7. Let the pie rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
