- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease your deep-dish pie or springform pan.
- In a large skillet, heat over medium heat. Add ground beef and Italian sausage, cooking for 8–10 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2–3 minutes until onions are translucent. Add sliced pepperoni and cook for an additional minute.
- Pour in pizza or marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, stir well, and let simmer for 5–7 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Press the deep-dish pie crust into the greased pan, spoon in half of the meat mixture, followed by half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers ending with remaining cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes until cheese is bubbly and top is lightly browned. Tent with foil if darkening too quickly.
- Once baked, let the pie rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
