Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease your deep-dish pie or springform pan.
  2. In a large skillet, heat over medium heat. Add ground beef and Italian sausage, cooking for 8–10 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2–3 minutes until onions are translucent. Add sliced pepperoni and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Pour in pizza or marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, stir well, and let simmer for 5–7 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Press the deep-dish pie crust into the greased pan, spoon in half of the meat mixture, followed by half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers ending with remaining cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes until cheese is bubbly and top is lightly browned. Tent with foil if darkening too quickly.
  7. Once baked, let the pie rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
