  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 1-pound loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, simmer the Apple Cider until it reduces to ½ cup.
  3. Cream the softened unsalted butter and light brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and large eggs to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Combine unsweetened applesauce and cooling apple cider, then set aside.
  6. Sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.
  7. Fold the dry mixture into the butter mixture, alternating with the applesauce and cider mixture.
  8. Pour the batter into the pan and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar topping.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and a knife comes out mostly clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a rack.
