  • ½ cup Hot Cherry Peppers Adjust based on spice preference
For the Aromatics
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced, fresh preferred
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Dried, can substitute with thyme or basil
For the Sauce
  • ½ cup White Wine Dry vermouth can be used
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tablespoons Vinegar from Cherry Peppers
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Fresh lemon recommended
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Add the chicken thighs and cook until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced Italian sausage and sauté for approximately 4-5 minutes until browned.
  4. Add minced garlic and sliced bell peppers, stirring for 2-3 minutes until garlic is fragrant.
  5. Pour in white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up brown bits. Allow to simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add chicken broth, vinegar from cherry peppers, lemon juice, and oregano. Stir well, return chicken to the skillet.
  7. Cover and reduce heat to low, simmer for about 20 minutes until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  8. Plate the chicken, spooning the sauce and peppers over the top before serving.
