  • 1 package vanilla instant pudding mix Try lemon pudding for a refreshing vibe
  • 2 large eggs No substitutions recommended
  • 1/2 cup butter Softened and at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup milk Can swap with almond milk for a dairy-free version
For the Decoration
  • 1/4 cup red & green decorating sugars Optional but highly recommended

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix with the dry vanilla pudding mix. Add in the eggs, softened butter, and milk; stir until a very thick dough forms.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the red and green decorating sugars together lightly and set aside.
  4. Scoop out portions of dough and roll them into balls, then roll in the colorful decorating sugars.
  5. Place the sugar-coated dough balls on the baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly underbaked in the center.
  7. Allow cookies to rest on the baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
