Fritter Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour blend, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk together until evenly mixed.
- In a separate bowl, crack an egg and whisk it together with the milk until fully combined and frothy.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
- Heat oil in a deep pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil, frying for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove fritters with a slotted spoon and place them on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
- Optionally, whisk together powdered sugar and a splash of milk to make a glaze and drizzle it over the fritters after cooling.
