Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces ground sausage
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional
  • 24 slices cocktail rye bread

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess grease.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
  4. Spread about 1 tablespoon of the sausage mixture onto each slice of cocktail rye bread. Place the prepared bread slices on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the bread are crispy.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm.
