- Peel and thinly slice the Granny Smith apples, then toss them with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- In a skillet, melt unsalted butter and stir in dark brown sugar and corn syrup, let bubble, then add apples and cook gently.
- Whisk together eggs, whole milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a mixing bowl to combine.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking dish. Pour caramelized apples into it.
