Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring 1 cup of heavy whipping cream to a gentle boil. Stir frequently for about 5 minutes until thickened. Mix in ¼ teaspoon of ground white pepper and the juice of ½ medium lemon. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. In a medium skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 sliced medium onion and sauté for 8–10 minutes until caramelized.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a non-stick pizza pan.
  4. Spread shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, add prosciutto, drizzle with cream sauce, and scatter caramelized onions.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake assembled pizza for 8–12 minutes until crust is golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven, let cool for a minute, slice, and serve warm.
