Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1 pound sirloin steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Scrub the potatoes under cold water, then dry them thoroughly.
  3. Prick each potato several times with a fork, rub with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until tender.
  5. While the potatoes are baking, season the sirloin steak with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the steak. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness.
  7. Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  8. Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  9. Slice each potato open lengthwise and fluff the insides with a fork.
  10. Top each potato with shredded cheddar cheese, sliced steak, sour cream, green onions, and crumbled bacon.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy your loaded baked potatoes!
