  • 1 roll Refrigerated Pie Crust can use homemade pie crust
For the Filling
  • 1 cup Canned Pumpkin fresh pumpkin can be substituted
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon Maple Flavoring pure maple syrup can be substituted
  • 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice or a mix of cinnamon and nutmeg
  • 1 pinch Dash of Salt to balance sweetness
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar coconut sugar can be substituted
  • 2 tablespoons Milk or any milk alternative

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375ºF (190ºC).
  2. Combine canned pumpkin, brown sugar, maple flavoring, pumpkin pie spice, and a dash of salt in a medium bowl. Blend until smooth.
  3. Roll out refrigerated pie crust into a rectangle measuring approximately 6x22 inches and cut into 8 equal-sized rectangles.
  4. Place one crust rectangle on a baking sheet and spoon pumpkin filling into the center. Place another rectangle on top and seal the edges.
  5. Crimp the edges with a fork to secure and decorate.
  6. Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are lightly golden brown.
  7. Whisk together powdered sugar, maple flavoring, and milk until smooth to prepare the glaze.
  8. Drizzle glaze over the cooled poptarts and allow to set.
