Cake Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 9x13 inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, chai spices, and salt.
- Beat the eggs and granulated sugar together on medium speed until pale and fluffy, then mix in pumpkin puree, melted butter, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for approximately 35 minutes.
- For the frosting, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat until brown and nutty.
- Whisk together the browned butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth. Frost cooled cake.
