  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Rosemary Dried rosemary can be used if fresh is unavailable.
For the Brie
  • 1 wheel Brie Cheese Camembert can be a good alternative.
For Serving
  • 1 box Crostini Can substitute with pita chips or crackers.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a sauté pan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and cook pork sausage for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts, and 1 teaspoon of finely chopped fresh rosemary. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Score the top of the brie wheel in a crisscross pattern about 1/2 inch deep and place it in a greased baking dish.
  5. Spread the sausage mixture evenly over the scored top of the brie.
  6. Bake for 16-18 minutes until the brie is bubbling and slightly golden.
  7. Let the brie rest for about 5 minutes. Serve warm with crostini or pita chips.

Notes

Keep an eye on the baking time to prevent rubbery cheese. You can remove the brie rind if you prefer. Add honey or maple syrup before serving for extra sweetness.
